Each year the Space Coast Art Festival in Cocoa Beach — one of the area’s largest and most respected events — kicks off on Thanksgiving morning with the Turkey Trot 5K Race. Date: Thanksgiving Day - November 26, 2009.
Time: 6:30 am – registration. Race Start 7:30. (Sponsors don’t have to attend but you are certainly welcome to!)

Participants in the race also receive goody bags, door prizes, post-race refreshments, and music courtesy of Satellite High Music students.

September 11 Home Game a Good One!

September 13th, 2009

September 11 marked Satellite’s first home game of the season and it was a great one. Despite losing the game (due to a bad call on the first touchdown of the game) it was a great game and exciting to see our team doing so well this year.

The stands were packed, the new food court was popular, and the marching Scorps unveiled The King & I.  A highlight of the evening was honoring our men and women in the armed forces as well as our fireman and policeman on the anniversary of September 11. The Bands from both Satellite and Eau Gallie came together on the field at half time for a fabulous rendition of America the Beautiful. Great job!

Band Camp Full of Sunburns and Sectionals!

July 31st, 2009

The 2009 / 2010 year for Satellite Instrumental Music got off to a great start this week with annual band camp. Students reported to the field each morning to begin a full day of work on the “King & I” production. Parents came today to see the results of the first week’s work as well as the fun sectionals dress up and skits and then off to the annual picnic. Rest up over the weekend and report to the field Tuesday for rehearsal!
